Is my date available?

Can I have both my ceremony and reception here?

Yes, we have options for both ceremony and reception on the property.

Do I need to schedule a tour or can I just stop by?

We kindly request that all tours are by appointment only. Please click here (link for tour request) or email us at weddings@ameliagrove.com to schedule a tour.

Will there be another wedding the same day?

At Amelia Grove, we only host one wedding per day to ensure that each couple’s event is special.

When can I have my rehearsal?

Due to multiple events in one week-end rehearsals are scheduled on a first come first serve basis and are typically scheduled one month in advance.

What does your package include and how much does it all cost?

Are there overnight accommodations nearby?

There are several hotels in New Bern, some on the waterfront. There are short term rentals on Airbnb and VRBO in the area.

How many hours are included in the rental of the space?

Your day will include 12 Hours, 10am to 10pm. If additional time is needed please speak to one of our event specialist to see if arrangements can be made. Possible charges may incur.

Is parking available on-site?

Ample complimentary parking is available on site. We provide parking assistance to ensure maximum capacity with the ability to get out when needed.

What is the backup plan for rain or inclement weather?

In case of inclement weather, your ceremony can be held in the barn. If for any reason we need to hold the ceremony and the reception in the barn, we will work with you to create a plan that will work for both. There is ample space on the property for a tent if you should choose to rent one.

When can vendors arrive for setup?

Vendors may set up during your 12 hour period. If special arrangements need to be made, please have your vendor contact our event specialist with details.

Is outside catering allowed?

We actually provide all catering through our sister company, Strange and Sons Catering. We have a wonderfully talented kitchen staff and a menu that offers brides the ability to create a custom menu of their own.

Can I arrange to taste the food?

Yes, your event specialist will arrange an appropriate time/date with you for a food tasting.

Do you provide alcohol or can we bring our own?

We provide all bar services through our sister company, Strange and Sons Catering. We offer a nice selection of beers, wines, and liquors to select from and will provide specialty selections upon request.

Do you have a food and beverage minimum?

No, Strange and Sons Catering does not require a minimum on food or bar when serving at Amelia Grove.

What is the role of my wedding planner/day-of coordinator? (Required)

Your wedding planner will work directly with you to create an event plan to support your wedding day from start to finish. They will inform the Amelia Grove venue manager of the required venue set up and specific needs according to your event timeline.

When do I select the Amelia Grove décor items that I would like to use?

A Details Meeting is included in our venue package. The Details Meeting is held by Amelia Grove Venue Manager who will discuss the floorplan, event timeline as it pertains to the catering needs, back-up plans and finalize you linen, decor and rental items (if any).

Do I have to use the venue’s preferred vendors?

No, but we highly recommend our preferred vendors. They are on our list for many reasons. You can expect efficient, quality and over the top performance from our vendors

Do I need to purchase event insurance?

At this time we do not require you to attain insurance but it is suggested to protect yourself from any issues or damages that may arise at the event. We suggest that you speak with your homeowners insurance provider about policy options or click here for other options. (click to event insurance providers on vendor page)

Are dogs allowed for the ceremony?

We love dogs! They are allowed during the ceremony as long as there isn’t any food out. Dogs must also be kept on a leash at all times while in the facility.
